International Relations

International Relations (IR) is a field of study and practice that focuses on the relationships and interactions among sovereign states, as well as between states and non-state actors such as international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations. It examines how these entities engage with each other in terms of diplomacy, conflict, trade, and cooperation. The discipline encompasses various theories and perspectives, including realism, liberalism, and constructivism, which seek to explain the dynamics of power, security, and governance on a global scale. IR also addresses issues such as international law, human rights, environmental challenges, and global economic systems, reflecting the complex interdependencies in today’s interconnected world.
